Why we ALWAYS make your Deadline
Most transfer operations employ a fingers crossed system others operate on a tell our client anything we have to so we get the conversion order and the worst just pile up their conversions and the client who shouts the loudest and most often will get their video to DVD conversion first.
Of course no one needs this stress, especially the client. All that is required is the time for each video conversion and a diary. Our computerised system is more sophisticated but it employs the same principle. The videos that arrive are checked in, the time to do the job is calculated. Ten percent leeway is added and then it is slotted into the transfer schedule and we NEVER deviate from the schedule. It is imperative that you receive your transfer by the deadline so we NEVER break them.
Any video conversion that is not on a deadline is subsequently slotted in to the next available time slot. Our policy is simple, first come first served. This fee is simply for jumping the video conversion queue. If we can not add your video transfer into our standard schedule due to other clients deadlines we simply put your conversion onto an overtime shift.
We understand how important your deadlines are, you need the DVD movies for gifts or presentations at a business conference. You can rest easy that once we have accepted your deadline then it will be met.
"As you may have noticed (!) I have been in a panick about getting these videos done before the Saturday. You did it 3 days earlier and I am so grateful."
Kate Brown - Central London
"Sorry I was a bit distrusting ... there's so many entitities now who promise the earth. You made my deadline and I just wanted to say a BIG thanks."
M. Preistley - Kingston-upon-Hull
"I cannot fault the service I was provided with - absolutely excellent from start to finish and how you managed such a quick turnaround I don't know. The DVD's have brought great joy to my family as my Father is no longer with us. Thank you and will not hesitate to recommend you to others."
Tina Merritt - Bolton
"I was very impressed by the speed of turnaround. My deadline was essential as we were playing them at the Wedding. It went down a treat."
Sharon Salford - Swansea
What "DAY" means
At Video-to-DVD refer to a day as a working day, Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm excluding delivery.
This does not include weekends, public or bank holidays. The turnaround time will begin once we have received all the information, videos and materials we require to complete the video conversion.
If we tell you that we can accept your deadline of three days we will need three FULL days. So if we receive your videos at lunchtime then we have already lost half a day. If this happens then the turnaround time will start from the next day. If we receive everything by 9am then we have a full day and the turnaround would begin that day.
We are sorry if we appear fussy but the last thing we want is for our conversion customers to be disappointed. Below is a scenario which happened occasionally before we put this explanation on our video to DVD conversion website.
One of our clients orders a conversion with a five day turnaround.
Thursday 2nd Feb:
At noon the video masters arrive for conversion to DVD. We are already short of half a day.
Friday 3rd Feb:
The client has specified they want titles on their DVD movies but they have not supplied the text for them. We cant just do the video transfer and add the titles to the DVD afterwards.
Monday 6th Feb:
At 9am the text for the titles finally arrives. The conversion job can now begin as we have all the materials we need. Now we can examine the different interpretations in the calculations
My videos arrived on Thursday 2nd Feb. The turnaround that had been accepted is 5 days so we will have our DVDs on Wednesday 8th Feb.
All of the material arrived on Monday 6th Feb for a 5 day turnaround means that the DVDs will be dispatched on Friday 10th Feb for delivery on Monday 13th Feb.
